The EROWA blank vises have been specially developed for the safe clamping of untreated blanks - from cast or forged parts to pre-machined semi-finished products. The system impresses with its high clamping power, modular design, construction and absolute repeatability. Thanks to the compact, robust design, raw parts can be clamped directly - manually or automatically.
All clamps are completely compatible with EROWA palletizing systems such as MTS, UPC and PowerChuck P and can be seamlessly integrated into automated cells for 5-axis machining.
EROWA Self Centering Vises are the ideal solution when workpieces need to be clamped precisely, centrally and reliably. Thanks to their symmetrical clamping movement, they ensure repeatable alignment of the workpiece to the machine axis - regardless of size or geometry. With clamping powers of up to 35,000 N and high-precision guides, they offer maximum stability with minimum overall height.
Thus, the self centering vise and blank vise form a crucial link in the EROWA Flexible Manufacturing Concept - precise, stable and process-optimized.
High clamping force
The raw part clamp enables powerful and reliable clamping (up to 35 kN) of raw parts without pre-forming and with a minimum clamping height of only 3 mm.
Automatically centered
The blank clamp is characterized by high centering and repeat accuracy. The workpiece can be clamped centrically on both sides with screws.
Versatile application
Thanks to its integrated interface, the blank holder can be clamped into the EROWA chucks: PowerChuck P, ProductionChuck 210 Combi, and MTS Single Chuck. The blank holder can be used for manual operation or automated applications.
Embossing clamping jaws
The embossing is applied when the blank is clamped in place for the first time. This eliminates the need for pre-embossing at the embossing station. Setup times and costs are reduced.
Flexible clamping
Thanks to the clamping jaws that can be changed as needed, a flexible clamping range of up to 165 mm is possible.
Practical design
EROWA raw part clamps and center clamps are compact and robust, and as workpiece carriers they offer optimum accessibility of the machining tool to the workpiece. With a low overall height, there is plenty of machining space—even for larger workpieces.
