Giant Tooling System
The EROWA GTS (Giant Tooling System) is a modular clamping system for the precise and reliable machining of large and heavy workpieces. It was specially developed for applications where high clamping forces, solid referencing and maximum rigidity are crucial - for example in mechanical engineering, mold manufacture or in energy and large component production.
The GTS is designed for large-volume components and high workpiece weights. The solid design ensures a solid workpiece mount even with high cutting forces. As a result, the workpiece position remains constant and reproducible over long machining times.
This creates the basis for precise results - even with complex machining strategies.
The EROWA GTS is designed for use in automated production environments. In combination with suitable EROWA automation solutions, even heavy clamping elements and workpieces can be handled reliably.
This allows machine runtimes to be increased and unmanned concepts to be implemented, even for large components.

Precise positioning and secure clamping of large and heavy workpieces thanks to the patented EROWA GTS. The high clamping force reduces vibrations and increases process reliability. The compensating clamping technology ensures that thermal expansion is balanced out.

With an impressive clamping force of 80 kN per chuck, the Giant Tooling System forms a solid and stable base for your machine table. The number of chucks can be optimally adapted to your specific requirements. Thanks to the hydraulic closed & open control, the condition of the chucks can be monitored reliably.
Modular and flexible
Modular and automatable – ideal for automated processes and flexible applications such as milling and turning applications. Five-axis milling and turning can be performed in a single clamping.
Suitable for pallet changing or as an interface between the machine base and machine table.
