Hybrid automation: The perfect combination

In an environment of constantly changing and demanding customer and market requirements, maximum efficiency and flexibility are crucial factors for manufacturing companies to remain successful in the long term. An automation system that enables the combined operation of production machines with workpiece carrier pallets and automated parts handling offers a powerful solution for increasing productivity and quality.

This is seamlessly possible thanks to the targeted expansion of the EROWA Robot Six modular system with a drawer magazine and automatic screwdriving station for parts and pallet handling. The Robot Six thus becomes a modular mixed handling system, taking over precise handling and ensuring a smooth, automated production process.
The gripper system is equipped with an EROWA standard coupling for picking up any interchangeable grippers for pallet handling, a servo gripper for raw parts/semi-finished parts, and a drawer opener. A nozzle for blowing off chips and cooling lubricants can also be integrated as an option.

Configurable drawer magazine
The individual configuration of the drawer grid allows customer-specific grid plates for raw parts or mold nests for semi-finished parts to be integrated as required. In addition, different grid configurations can be implemented on the various drawers to enable maximum capacity for a wide variety of workpieces. With up to nine drawers, the magazine can be freely configured to the sizes of the parts to be processed and offers a high work supply for bridging unmanned shifts or production over the weekend.

Screwdrivers and clamps
The screwdriving station can be individually configured depending on the model of the centric clamp used. Automatic docking, precise positioning of the clamping jaws, and monitored clamping are included. Thanks to its scalability, the system offers an optimal basis for additional centric clamp types of other dimensions, which can be operated via additional screwdriving stations in the future. The outsourced clamping process also eliminates the need for additional investments in the future when replacing a worn-out production machine.

Everything at a glance
Seamless integration into the EROWA JMS 4.0 ProductionLine control system – intuitive operation via the touch monitor directly on the drawer magazine. Always in view: current drawer loads and automatic validation of space conflicts.
