Quick and precise resetting
The basis of the EROWA Wire EDM tooling system is constituted by the chucks that are fitted to the machine table and aligned. As soon as a workpiece has been fixed to and set up on a system carrier (fixture, clamping element, etc.), it is ready for production!
Palletized workpieces can be loaded with positional accuracy within seconds. Unproductive setting-up work is carried out while the machine is at work. The machine's production time increases significantly.
The wire EDM tooling system can be automated. A large selection of EROWA handling facilities provides a suitable solution for every application. We’ll be glad to advise you!
Universal from setting up to WEDM
The next order is prepared while the machine is working. Setting-up work can be carried out carefully and without any time pressure. Machining times decrease substantially since no setting-up work has to be done on the machine.
Precise presetting, i.e. the determination of the starting borehole coordinates, the determination of workpiece positions or carrying out a quick interim correction substantially simplifies any subsequent work.
Prepared workpiece carriers/clamping frames can be clamped into the chucks on the machine table in a few steps with the help of a loading facility or an EROWA Robot. EROWA Wire EDM chucks position the workpiece carriers in a stable way, and changes from one chuck to another can be carried out with a repeatability of 0.002mm.
