Powder presses need to be reset frequently - and changeover time must be short.
EROWA has the solution:
Single- or multi-level presses are fitted with PM Tooling chucks. This enables pressing tools to be changed at μ-levels of precision within very short periods of time.
This system has been developed for use under high pressing forces.
The optimal tooling system can be selected based on the application and requirements.
Consistent from milling to pressing
The EROWA PM tooling system mounts punches and dies on pallets and manufactures them precisely to the system datum point.
The tools pass through the entire production chain on pallets (milling, grinding, EDM, WEDM).
Example: Grinding of punches. The system datum point is defined by the chuck.
The tooling system allows the system datum point, based on which the punches and dies are manufactured in tool design, to be used directly in the powder press - with EROWA's trademark precision of less than 0.002 mm repeating accuracy!
Compatibility with other EROWA tooling systems allows for the complete automation of your production machine.
